PRESIDENT'S REPORT

Happy St. Patrick’s Day fellow chapter members!

Since we are all Irish today, “May your blessings outnumber the shamrocks that grow, and may trouble avoid you wherever you go.” Irish Blessing

Many thanks to Jonathan Marks from Baker Tilly for his excellent presentation on March 15. His presentation was insightful, and we received many positive comments from the audience.

Netflix – A Story of Internal Controls, was well attended by both members and non-members of our chapter. This was a free event for chapter members and $25 for non-members, earning one-hour of Continuing Education for all attendees.

Jonathan will also be coordinating the Baker Tilly Fraud Summit 2023, a complimentary three-day virtual seminar March 28-30 where you can earn additional Continuing Education credits depending on how many sessions you attend. Go to https://www.bakertilly.com/page/fraudsummit to learn more.

Our second event, coincidentally being held the day this goes to press, was our chapter’s invitation to attend the Cyber Security Summit in Miami on Friday March 17. This was a free event for our chapter members, and $195 for non-members. Participants received up to 8 hours of Continuing Education along with breakfast, lunch, and a cocktail reception. We hope you had a chance to attend this event.

Your chapter leaders are continually striving to deliver value through high quality educational events for our members. We welcome and appreciate any comments or suggestions you may for future events.

If you are interested in being one of our future speakers, please contact either me or Vice President and Director of Training, Angela D’Anna.

Thank you for being a member of the chapter and stay tuned for future events!
